This chair was the end result of an adventure I took with my friend Claudia.  We are knitting buddies and regularly hang out at the Linden Hills Yarn shop.  Saturday mornings gather with other men and women who love to knit and or kibitz and opine on the state of the world, our children, the younger or older generation depending on who is talking, our weight loss strategies, the latest yarns, books and whatever else comes to mind.  Our group includes professional actors, a mathematician, writers, doctors and artists.  In fact, we have quickly discovered just about every one who comes in the door is an artist as well as knitter.  Jan, the proprietor and disciplinarian, keeps order in the store.  The rest of us keep Jan in line.  The chair is intended as a tribute to the artistic spirit that Jan and her shop inspire in each of us privilege to just hang out there.
